Yondu – 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado

SOLD

Hey everybody! I’d like to introduce you to Yondu.

Yondu is a 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado powered by a 425 ci v8 that produces 385 horsepower which is pushed through a turbo hydramatic 400 transmission and for those of you that aren’t familiar with the Toronado, this car is Front Wheel Drive! Obviously for 1967 this was pretty cutting edge technology for GM.  The Toronado was considered to be GM’s first sub frame car again something different for GM . As you take a look at Yondu you’ll see that the front seat seams are split in several locations. I have had it looked at by a couple of upholsters and they believe it may still be repairable. You will also see that the paint on the instrument panel cluster cover is peeling in several places but this is a relatively easy fix. Yondu is considered to be a luxury vehicle so it’s also equipped with tilt and telescoping steering along with a number of other luxury options. I’m particularly fond of the speedo and the way the drum style indicator turns to indicate the speed. I well try to get a better shot of this in a future driving video, We’ve been having some problems with the vacuum operated headlight doors which we’re still trying to sort out.  The car accelerates and brakes well and rides really smooth with a few minor creeks in the suspension which were still looking into.

Now Yondu is officially sold but if this is the type of car you are looking for please still feel free to contact us a memorymotorsca@aol.com or call us at 905-537-3673 and we’d be happy to help you!
