Koda – 1974 Ford Custom Ranch Wagon

SOLD

Hey everybody! I’d like to introduce you to Koda.

Koda is a 1974 Ford Custom Ranch Wagon powered by a 400 V8 with a 2 barrel carburetor and a 3 speed automatic transmission. Now I’m sure most of you are thinking “where’s the fake woodgrain panelling?” well that one of the things the separates the ranch wagon from its more expensive sibling the country squire. In addition most ranch wagons didn’t have the 3rd row “mother in law’ seat that just about every kid raised in the 70’s rode in at one point or another. Koda does have 2 single sie facing seats which leaves some space for luggage between the 2 jump seats and the 2nd ros. The exterior of this car is in decent shape with only some minor parking lot dings here and there along with a couple of minor rust spots on the drivers side.. Unfortunately the roof racks that this car was originally fitted with from the factory were removed by the previous owner and are no longer available. The previous owner also installed the aftermarket chrome wheels but failed to hang on to the original steel wheels and hubcaps. Inside the car you’ll immediately notice some pretty significant changes. The 3 seater front bench seat has been removed and 2 cream coloured front seats from a 2011 Mercury Gran Marquis were installed. Now as disappointing as this might be. The owner also wen t the trouble of wiring up the power seats so they are fully operational. Unfortunately the switches for the seat have been inconveniently mounted under the dash. The remaining parts of the interior are present but show some wear. Specifically the cracked dash as well as some split seams in the headliner. The carpeting has also been cut under the front seats probably when the seats were installed. The factory radio is inoperative but a functional aftermarket one has been installed under the dash.   In addition, a set of aftermarket gauges and a tachometer have been installed so there’s no need to wait for the idiot lights to come on to make you aware of anything that’s acting up. The factory steering wheel has also been removed and replaced with a mid 70’s Ford rally steering wheel, likely from a Mustang II or a Maverick of that same era. While some purists may frown on these changes it actually makes Koda more comfortable for longer drives which was the norm back in the day when these monsters cruised through suburbia  long before the minivan era.

Now Koda is officially sold but if this is the type of car you are looking for please still feel free to contact us a memorymotorsca@aol.com or call us at 905-537-3673 and we’d be happy to help you!
