Hey everybody! I’d like to introduce you to Helen.
Helen is a 1992 Chrysler Daytona. Now many people my age hear the word Daytona and automatically associate it with a muscle car that dominated the NASCAR circuit decades ago. From a performance perspective this little car is a far cry from the legendary Daytona’s but once you take a look at her and take her for a drive, you’ll see she’s still pretty cool. The car is equipped with a 3 litre v6 engine coupled to an automatic transmission. I know I car hear the eye’s rolling now with the word “automatic” but we’ll come back to that later. Based on the maintenance information provided, the timing belt was just changed less than 3000 km’s ago and while we can’t be 100% certain, the low mileage indicated on the odometer appears to be correct. In addition to the additional maintenance records available, the overall condition of the interior along with the absence of extensive wear on the carpet and pedals seem to support the low mileage as well. As you can see from the pictures provided the interior is in excellent shape with the exception of the drivers door pull handle which is cracked and the shifter bezel which has a few broken louvers. The exterior of the car is in better than average condition give that its almost 29 years old. Some chalkiness to the paint is evident on the rear bumper and rear spoiler where the clearcoat has peeled a bit. The hood also exhibits a few stone chips but the good news is that Helen also comes with a hood bra to cover these imperfections and prevent further damage. The aftermarket wheels are in great shape as well. The OE wheels do not come with the car. The underside of the car is also in great shape with no significant rust or damage. The car has been fitted with a new battery a recent tune up was also performed and a new muffler and wiper blades installed. Copies of all the available maintenance records from the previous owner will also be provided.
